Screencast
This was by far the hardest task we have had in class to date. I got frustrated not only with the gathering of the information but also on the format of the page. This works nothing like a word document. The page kept disagreeing with me and I about threw my computer across the room. If i didn't love Amelia ( my computer's name) with a passion I WOULD have done it. I even talked to other people working on their wiki's and they were contemplating not doing it. After putting in about 10 hours working on it and making it good enough for me to turn in, I was relieved. I only hope it is up to professor Boyer's standards. The information was not hard to find. I loved loved loved google scholar. The hard part was figuring out what I thought was the most important. I feel happy with my final product, and I have a little bit more security in potentially making a wiki in the future, but this is definitely some I will need to continue working on to perfect.
What can I even say about how this will affect me in the future. Well now I know the basics of a wiki, and from what everyone appears to be telling us, a wiki is a very important thing to understand how to use. I know more time will need to be put into understanding the best practices, but once I do understand it, I would love to use it in my classroom. SO MUCH MORE RESEARCH!!!! i need to start watching lynda.com to figure out how to use these things. WHEW!
